On behalf of everyone in the Cycle: Uppingham - Land’s End group the Trip leader and Group leader, Dr Stephan Muller and Toby Cope, presented Danny Crates with a cheque for Brake for £5,060.62. The presentation was preceded by a speech by Toby Cope about the trip.

The ‘Road Safety 2008′ DVD, which will include photos from the trip, copies of the newspaper articles about the trip and video footage from the presentation with Danny Crates, will be available by Christmas. Group members will receive information on how to order them in due course.

And the grand total is…

From the Group Leader:

Our chosen charity, Brake, is a national road safety charity which works tirelessly to prevent road death and injury through educating road users and raising awareness about the importance of staying safe on the roads as both a driver and a pedestrian. One of Brake’s major projects is the organisation of the annual national Road Safety Week. As many of you will know, it is a charity particularly close to my heart, so it was absolutely fantastic that the other group members considered it a worthy cause for us to support.

The money is still coming in, and thanks to the generosity of you and many others we have raised:

£5,060.62

Thank you!
